The Richland Rails outlasted the Chesapeake Continentals in an extra-inning thriller.
Richland Rails starter Matt Crowley was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Chesapeake Continentals, 3-2. Chesapeake now has a 5-game losing streak.
The Rails got a big at-bat from first baseman Spencer Lyng. For the game, Lyng was 1 for 2. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 9th hit of the season gave Richland a 3-2 lead.
In postgame remarks, Lyng simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
