|
A 4-RBI performance from catcher Martinus Xhaka led the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles to a 6-2 win over the San Antonio BC. Joshua Barnes, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings. The Screaming Eagles now own a record of 30-24.
Xhaka had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Roosevelt Tuttle, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Screaming Eagles a 3-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Xhaka.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Xhaka said after the game.
