Richland used a superb performance from starting pitcher Paco Manuel to down the Salem Misfits, 3-0. Manuel, now 2-5, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing no earned runs. The losses continue to mount for Salem, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for Richland, had it not been for Christian Gentry, the 25-year old shortstop . Gentry contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Richland up, 1-0.

"Paco was pounding the zone," said Richland manager Allen Bartlett.
