Highlanders Lose Again, 3-0, to Rails
|
Richland Rails starter Barney Starr was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Asheville Highlanders, 3-0. The slumping Highlanders have lost 7 straight.
Alistair Mix went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Richland. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Chris Plummerton. It was his 20th RBI of the season.
Starr told a Richland Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
