Eclipse Solve Highlanders, 6-3
|
The Northville Eclipse had to overcome a big game from Asheville center fielder Enrique Rocha to leave Old-Timers Park with a 6-3 victory. Rocha slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winner was Rizaldo Manansala, who threw 114 pitches over 8.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 4 hits. Sonny Rubalcaba picked up the save, his 2nd.
Early in the game, catcher Juan León had a 2-run double for Northville. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Eclipse on top, 3-1.
León told a Northville Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The Eclipse raised their record to 13-11.
