Rails Take Down BC, 5-2
|
The Richland Rails stymied the San Antonio BC, 5-2, at San Antonio Field. Alistair Mix, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Richland. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Jorge Mejía. Richland is now 10-13. San Antonio is 8-15.
Mix had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Rails went on to win.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Mix told the Richland Observer.
