Late Rally by Eclipse Secures Win

Northville and Richland duked it out at Old-Timers Park and the Eclipse came out victorious.
The Northville Eclipse picked up a win at Old-Timers Park, knocking off the Richland Rails, 3-2. Starting pitcher Nobuhito Tanaka, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Javier Luna picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Jorge Mejía was tagged with the loss.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Luis Guerrero had a chance to end it. Richland pitcher Jorge Mejía had other ideas. But with two outs, Guerrero hit a walk-off run-scoring single. The Eclipse had the win.
"We take it day by day here," said Tanaka, "and today was a good one for us."
The Rails drop to 8-10 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2029 season.
