The Lannister United Lionhearts eked out a 4-3 win versus the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Lionheart Field. Nobody did more than catcher Carlos Pacheco, who captured player of the game honors. Currito Melena picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 3 in 5 innings. The Lionhearts, now 10-4, have hit the ground running this season.

Chong-yee Au-Yong went 1-2 with a walk for Lannister United. In the bottom of the fifth, with the teams deadlocked, 3-3, Au-Yong delivered for the Lionhearts. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Lannister United on top, 4-3.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Au-Yong.
