Screaming Eagles Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
Northville designated hitter Augusto Rocha had a good game, even if his team did not. The Eclipse dropped a 6-3 decision to Mercer Island at Old-Timers Park. Rocha was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Jules Goux got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. Mercer Island is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 3rd in 9 games.
Francisco Agámez helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Mercer Island a 2-0 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Agámez.
