The Asheville Highlanders and Mercer Island Screaming Eagles played a tight game at Asheville Park, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
The exploits of second baseman Marcos Rico helped the Asheville Highlanders defeat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 3-1. Rico was 2-2 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
