Rodríguez hits 2 home runs, Tritons Move to 65-34
|
Jersey City left fielder Jorge Rodríguez was a significant contributor in his team's 8-4 triumph over the Plymouth Rocks. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Jersey City. Chris Sommer picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Zalontae Hillary was tagged with the loss. Jersey City is now riding a 6-game win streak.
The Tritons got a big at-bat from first baseman Chia-ch'ing Dodman. For the game, Dodman was 1 for 4. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 62nd hit of the season gave Jersey City a 5-4 lead.
