Late Rally by Dogfish Head Secures Win
|
Behind a solid performance from center fielder Miguel Montoya, the Milton Dogfish Head defeated the Houston BC, 5-4. Montoya was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times for the Dogfish Head. Bobby Irvine got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. Jeff Krause earned his 2nd save in 3 chances.
JoJo Victory had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Dogfish Head. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Milton trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double.
"I felt good up there," said Montoya. "I saw the ball well."
