BC Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Hotspur Reserves
|
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves got a superb performance from pitcher Titus Parson. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Houston. The BC won the game, 5-3. In spite of the loss, Parson was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. William DeWitt was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 18 save opportunities. The BC improved to 34-62.
Houston took the lead in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Clarence Fox stroked a 2-run double to make it 5-3, BC.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Fox.
