Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Hotspur Reserves
|
The Salt Lake City Buzz got a sterling performance from right fielder Tim Waters, but the Hotspur Reserves still prevailed, 7-6. Waters was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Phoenix reliever Richard Osborn was the winner. His record is now 5-7. Lorenzo López took the loss. Salt Lake City's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Rubén Andrada was the walk-off hero for Phoenix. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hotspur Reserves center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We take it day by day here," said Andrada, "and today was a good one for us."
