Late Rally by Dogfish Head Secures Win

Both teams had their chances, but the Milton Dogfish Head eventually prevailed at Milton Corner Tavern.
The Milton Dogfish Head defeated the Jersey City Tritons, 3-2, in USPL Triple A action at Milton Corner Tavern, with Milton pitcher Francisco Barrios named player of the game. The win was credited to José Luján in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Prince Nakamura took the loss.
Milton took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, first baseman Floyd Long hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
Long told a Milton Times reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The 6th-place Dogfish Head improved to 46-39.
