Houston shortstop Tyler Utterback was a significant contributor in his team's 5-4 triumph over the Plymouth Rocks. He went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Houston. William DeWitt notched his 12th save in 15 chances. Even with the win, the BC have a dismal 28-56 record.
Utterback contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Houston in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Utterback took a slider from Ken Shelton and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the BC to leap in front, 5-2.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Utterback told a Houston Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
