Tritons Shut Out Hotspur Reserves

It was a fun time at Jersey City Grounds, where the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves and Jersey City Tritons tangled.
Ricardo Rodríguez pitched a gem to lead Jersey City to a 3-0 victory over the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves. In 6.2 innings, Rodríguez surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Anthony Ledesma converted his 19th save in 21 tries.
Edgar Baeza aided the Jersey City cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Rodríguez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The Tritons bumped their record to 48-30 with this latest triumph.
