The Royse City Targaryens beat the Bakersfield Nobles, 5-4, at Royse City Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter José Vargas, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. Royse City reliever Kirby Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Bastião Shwerin absorbed the loss. Royse City now owns a record of 37-36.

Javier Chávez was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Royse City. The 28-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Bastião Shwerin. It was his 23rd RBI of the season.
