Tritons Solve BC, 4-3
|
Jersey City beat Houston on the strength of starter António Alomar's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Alomar picked up the win for Jersey City, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 8-3. The Tritons have an impressive 44-27 record.
Munemori Ohara went 1-3 for Jersey City. The 30-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Dan Hobbs. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"It was a solid team effort," said Ohara after the game.
