Battlekings Win at Royse City, 5-2
|
The Naperville Battlekings picked up a win at Royse City Stadium, knocking off the Royse City Targaryens, 5-2. Starting pitcher Chris Hayes was an essential part of his team's success. Sergio Hernández finished to wrap up his 1st save. Royse City's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Marcos Costa was a key contributor to the win for the Battlekings. In the top of the sixth with no one out, the light-hitting first baseman stroked a double to right. He went 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Naperville manager Mark Harrison.
