Braves Get Past Plymouth for 5-4 Win
|
The Gryfindor Braves bested the Plymouth Rocks by a score of 5-4, with first baseman Paul Penrice getting the main credit. On the day, Penrice went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Braves. Gryfindor reliever Rodrigo Torres picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Roberto Aguirre absorbed the loss. Gryfindor now owns a record of 25-30.
Penrice had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 fastball from Roberto Aguirre, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Braves a 5-4 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Penrice.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Penrice.
