|
Milton rode a good effort from starter Juan Lara to beat the Gryfindor Braves at Cayuse Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Lara, the winner, moves to 4-7. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 4 walks. Edgardo Marín finished the game for Milton and earned his 3rd save.
Jan Gosselin chipped in for Milton, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning. For the game, the second baseman was 1-2 with a double and a walk.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Milton manager Joe Richard.
Milton is now 29-24. Gryfindor is 24-29.
