Gryfindor Wins, Penrice goes 4-for-4
|
The Gryfindor Braves topped the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves by the score of 8-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Paul Penrice. Penrice was 4-4 with 4 singles and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Braves on the day. Earning his 1st save of the year was José Vargo. Gryfindor is now 23-25, while Phoenix is 16-32.
With the bases loaded and one out in the top of the first inning, designated hitter Gonzalo Ángel delivered big for the Braves. Gryfindor was leading 1-0 when he belted a grand slam home run.
