Nobles Shut Out Dogfish Head

It was a good time at Jerome Grounds, where fans came to watch the Milton Dogfish Head and Bakersfield Nobles get after it.
The Bakersfield Nobles topped the Milton Dogfish Head by the score of 7-0, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Manny Valentín. Valentín was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Nobles. The winner was Robinson Gonzáles in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Juan Lara took the loss.
Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Jerome Grounds seemed to enjoy watching the USPL Triple A action.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Valentín said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
Bakersfield is now 24-17, while Milton is 25-16.
