BC Subdue Naperville, 3-1
|
Houston and Naperville played a hard-fought contest at Constellation Ballpark.
The Houston BC went home winners at Constellation Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Millard Taylor. Taylor silenced the Naperville Battlekings, enabling Houston to grab the 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Taylor, now 1-4. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Getting the save was William DeWitt, his 5th.
Ismael Sandoval, who is tied for 7th in the PAAA in bases on balls with 22, helped out the Houston cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Taylor said after the game.
Houston is now 11-27, while Naperville is 23-15.
