Tritons Turn Back Salt Lake City, 6-5
|
The Salt Lake City Buzz got a superb performance from right fielder Jérôme Masson. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Jersey City. The Tritons won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Masson was named the player of the game. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Anthony Ledesma earned the save for Jersey City, his 5th of the year. The Tritons have an impressive 22-13 record.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when right fielder Zahid Kashani, who is rated as the 19th best prospect by BNN, hit a single. The Tritons went on to win.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Kashani.
