|
With designated hitter Ignacio Medine leading the charge, the Gryfindor Braves defeated the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves, 6-4, at Cayuse Ballpark. Medine, who is tied for 9th in the PAAA with a .976 OPS, was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Picking up the save was Marcos Oquendo, his 8th. Gryfindor is now 12-13, Phoenix 8-17.
With two out in the bottom of the third, Raúl Reyna stroked a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 10th hit of the season and put Gryfindor in front, 5-3.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Medine. "I just want to win ballgames."
