Gryfindor played host to Houston at the friendly confines of Cayuse Ballpark.
The Gryfindor Braves got a stellar performance from pitcher Jorge Cedeño, who handcuffed the Houston offense en route to a 4-2 win at Cayuse Ballpark. Cedeño, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs.
Tied up with the BC in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Braves got a boost from left fielder Ignacio Medine. With a runner on 2nd, Medine saw a first pitch curveball from Millard Taylor and hit a run-scoring double to break the stalemate and put Gryfindor on top, 2-1.
"I thought we played a nice game," Medine told the Gryfindor Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
The BC, now 6-16, have lost 5 straight.
