4-3 Win by Nobles Continues Hot Start
|
The Bakersfield Nobles downed the Gryfindor Braves, 4-3, at Jerome Grounds. Sotaro Sakata led the way, going 2-for-3 for Bakersfield. Hiro Kurasawa got the win, improving to 2-0. He held the Braves to no earned runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Robinson Gonzáles finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Sakata had a key at-bat for Bakersfield early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and gave Bakersfield an early 2-0 lead.
"We did enough to win," said Sakata.
Bakersfield has now won 3 straight, while the Braves have lost 3 in a row.
