Hrnjak Rips Houston for 5 Hits
|
Rudko Hrnjak put on a hitting clinic today as the Jersey City Tritons dumped the Houston BC 10-1 at Houston Park.
The Jersey City center fielder made Houston defenders earn their pay, lashing Houston pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Hrnjak said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Rudko Hrnjak tripled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Hrnjak is hitting .325 so far this season with 5 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has 13 hits including 1 home run, 7 walks and .426 OBP.
