|
Virginia Beach right-hander Pleun Davidse pitched his team to victory over the Belvedere Park Rawhides at Virginia Beach Grounds. The final score was 2-1. Aurelio Ornelas got the save, his 1st in 2 chances. The Rawhides, at 44-53, have lost 4 in a row.
Cam MacIntosh had a big run-scoring double for the Deuces in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Virginia Beach leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Paul Addison and stroked the double to right-center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Deuces ahead, 2-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Davidse told reporters after the game.
