Long Island used a superb performance from starting pitcher Winston Wenham to down the Casper Ghosts, 3-1. Vinny Mariani closed it out for his 20th save. Casper, at 47-44, has lost 4 straight.

The Seawolves got a big at-bat from designated hitter Roberto Valle. For the game, Valle went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 90th hit of the season gave Long Island a 3-1 lead.
