Rawhides Come Up Short at Long Island

The Long Island Seawolves defeated the Belvedere Park Rawhides, 1-0, in M3L Double A action at Ballpark of Remsen, with Long Island pitcher Daniel Lavalley named player of the game. Lavalley got the win, improving to 2-12. He allowed 5 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. Lavalley allowed no earned runs. Long Island is now 35-52.
Early in the game, third baseman Abad Lugo had a solo home run for Long Island. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Seawolves on top, 1-0.
Lugo told a Long Island Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
