Herons Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Rawhides

Glendale and Belvedere Park duked it out at Field of the Rawhides and the Herons came out victorious.
Belvedere Park designated hitter Jorge Alcantar had a good game, even if his team did not. The Rawhides dropped a 5-2 decision to Glendale at Field of the Rawhides. Alcantar went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Víctor Torres, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.
In the top of the second inning, center fielder Xu Cheng came through big-time for the Herons. With Glendale leading 1-0, he belted a solo home run.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Cheng.
Glendale is now 42-42.
