Casper played host to Virginia Beach at the friendly confines of The Graveyard.

The Casper Ghosts stymied the Virginia Beach Deuces, 5-2, at The Graveyard. Derek Bangert, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run for Casper. Casper reliever Ray Bane got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Sam Groves was tagged with the loss.

Casper grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Bangert, who is tied for 9th in the 3AA in doubles with 19, hit a solo home run. His 20th home run of the season put the Ghosts out in front, 3-2.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Bangert, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."

The Ghosts, at 45-38, have now won 5 straight.
