Seawolves Get Past Casper for 3-2 Win
|
The Seawolves had to overcome a good performance from Casper pitcher Robert Cagle to claim a 3-2 win at The Graveyard. Cagle went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Long Island is now 11-19, while Casper is 14-16.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Abad Lugo hit a first pitch fastball from Wong Fei-Hung for a run-scoring single. It put Long Island in front, 3-2.
"It feels good to get that win," said Lugo. "Now it's on to the next one."
