Rawhides Hold Off Miners, 4-3
|
The Belvedere Park Rawhides scored a 4-3 win versus the Marquette Miners at Marquette Stadium. Belvedere Park pitcher Andrew Holloway nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Belvedere Park occupies 8th place in the Menard's AA at 12-14.
Ed Jozwiak had a big 2-run double for the Rawhides in the top of the fifth inning. With Belvedere Park trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Gerald Bolton and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rawhides ahead, 2-1.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Holloway.
