Matt Digby subdued the Casper Ghosts, 9-0, pitching a 4-hit gem for the Virginia Beach Deuces at The Graveyard.

"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Virginia Beach skipper Yoshifumi Kamuta said afterward.

Digby registered 3 strikeouts and issued 4 walks in his superb performance.

"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Casper manager Steve Carpenter after the defeat.

To this point in the season, Digby shows a 4-0 record, 5 starts, 36.1 innings, 20 strikeouts and a 2.97 ERA.
