Ramos Slugs Dogfish Head to 8-1 Win
|
The exploits of catcher António Ramos, who is rated as the 40th best prospect by BNN, helped the Milton Dogfish Head defeat the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves, 8-1. Ramos hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Milton reliever Santiago Mesa picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Richard Osborn took the loss. With the win, Milton is 5-4.
With Milton leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Ramos hit a slider from Richard Osborn for a solo home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Dogfish Head ahead, 2-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Ramos told the Milton Times.
