Supernovas Trip Lake Monsters in Extras
|
Vermont pitcher Ricardo DePay gave the Supernovas all they could handle, but in the end, Scranton left Nuclear Stadium with a 4-3 win. DePay allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits over 5.1 innings. Scranton is now 50-46.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Scranton right fielder Kent Summey, facing Woody Hudson, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Supernovas the 4-3 win.
"I was a little disappointed," said Vermont manager Rick Nash. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
