Halberds Deal Supernovas 8-4 Setback
|
The Alloway Halberds topped the Scranton Supernovas by the score of 8-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Jarred Morgan. Morgan went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Halberds on the day. Alloway reliever John Hamilton got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Masami Kogawa was tagged with the loss. The Halberds raised their record to 35-55.
In the bottom of the third, Ricardo Ríos hit a 2-run single for Alloway. The 56th hit of the season for the Alloway second baseman put the Halberds on top, 5-3.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Santiago Vargas said.
