Vermont pitcher Bill Lee did his part in helping his team beat the Port Royal Disaster, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Lee, the winner, moves to 7-3. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks. The win puts the Lake Monsters at 48-42, while the Disaster drop to 46-44.

In the bottom of the third inning, right fielder Brad Tillman came through big-time for the Lake Monsters. With Vermont leading 1-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
