Great Lakers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Disaster
Riding the 2-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Ye Der, the Pure Michigan Great Lakers stopped the Port Royal Disaster, 4-2. José Ortíz picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Cipriano Costa was tagged with the loss. Pure Michigan, at 41-46, occupies 8th place in the Silver AAA.

Der had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 3-1 cutter from Cipriano Costa, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Great Lakers a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Der.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Der said after the game.
