Halberds Get Close Win Over Lynx
The Calgary Lynx and Alloway Halberds provided some drama at Ballpark of Alloway.

Vito Middendorf added some punch to the Alloway offense, helping them outmuscle the Calgary Lynx, 8-7. In the game, Middendorf, who is rated as the 47th best prospect by BNN, was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Alloway is now 28-50.

Middendorf had a game-changing single in the bottom of the ninth. On a first pitch sinker from Juan Deliz, he banged a run-scoring single to left-center, giving the Halberds a 8-7 lead. It was the 64th hit of the year for Middendorf.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Middendorf.
