Lynx Win at Alloway, 4-1

Calgary Lynx starter Juan López turned in a top-notch performance against the Alloway Halberds at Ballpark of Alloway. The result was a win for the Lynx, 4-1. López, the winner, moves to 5-2. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Alfonso Vera notched his 6th save in 9 chances.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the fifth inning. That's when catcher Randolph Descoteaux drew a walk. The Lynx went on to win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Descoteaux.
