Humpbacks Topple Disaster with Late Rally
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks and Port Royal Disaster obliged those fans who came to Sea World looking for a good time.
Marvin Hunter did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Port Royal Disaster from losing, 6-5, to the Alaskan Humpbacks at Sea World. Hunter was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Alaskan reliever Billy Grange was the winner. His record is now 7-5. Miguel Hernández took the loss.
Urs van Munster was a key contributor to the win for the Humpbacks. In the bottom of the eighth with no one out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a double to left. He was 2-4 with a double, while scoring 2 times.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," van Munster said.
Alaskan is now 37-38. Port Royal is 36-39.
