The 2029 season is getting ugly for Alloway.

The Pure Michigan Great Lakers defeated the Alloway Halberds, 9-1, in USSL Triple A action at Ballpark of Alloway, with Pure Michigan pitcher Kazu Shimada named player of the game. Shimada, now 5-6, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run.

Keyveat Postell helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Pure Michigan a 2-0 lead.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Shimada. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The Great Lakers saw their win-loss record go to 34-39. At the same time, the Halberds fell to 25-48.
