Lynx Get Close Win Over ParksNRec

The Calgary Lynx picked up a win at Lynx Stadium, knocking off the Pawnee ParksNRec, 5-2. Starting pitcher Ray Skipworth, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Skipworth went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1. Earning his 9th save for Calgary was Mark Simmons.
Miguel Rosales's at-bat in the bottom of the eighth inning was a big one for Calgary. Coming to bat with no one out, runners on 2nd and 3rd and Calgary trailing 2-1, the right fielder hit a run-scoring single.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Calgary manager Miguel Ocampo.
Calgary goes to 43-22. The win puts them 5 games up in their division.
