Lake Monsters Raise Rally Flag, Beat Alloway, 3-1
The Vermont Lake Monsters got a strong performance from pitcher Javier Matajudíos, who stymied the Alloway offense en route to a 3-1 win at Ballpark of Alloway. Cherles Gachineiro closed it out for his 14th save. The Lake Monsters now have a record of 30-28 with the win over Alloway.

Vermont took a 2-1 lead on Brad Tillman's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Alloway pitcher Francisco García in the top of the eighth.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Vermont manager Rick Nash said.
