Supernovas Bang Out 7-1 Win Versus Vermont
|
Scranton catcher Kevin Malone was instrumental in his team's 7-1 win over the Vermont Lake Monsters. Malone, who is tied for 8th in the SAAA with a .312 batting average, went 2-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Supernovas. The 6th-place Lake Monsters have lost 5 straight games.
Malone put Scranton up, 7-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Javier Matajudíos in the bottom of the second. His 5th home run of the season helped the Supernovas capture the win.
Malone told a Scranton Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
